Lyodra, Amora Lemos, Silet Open Up to Sing for Live-Action Moana Soundtrack

Indonesian artists Lyodra, Amora Lemos, and Silet Open Up are set to lend their voices to the live-action Moana movie's original soundtrack. The trio will perform "Sepanjang Jalan," the Indonesian version of "Along the Way," originally sung by Aulii Cravalho, Catherine Lagaaia, and Dwayne Johnson.

Lyodra, who previously sang the Indonesian version of "Beyond" for Moana 2, expressed her excitement for this new collaboration with Disney Indonesia. "It feels even more real this time singing for the live-action film," Lyodra stated. "The song is more upbeat, offering a new experience after singing a ballad. Collaborating with Amora and Silet Open Up makes this project even more exciting."

Amora Lemos shared her pride in participating, having been a long-time fan of the Moana character. "Joining this project is a source of pride for me. As a fan of the animated Moana, I feel the character is close to me, as I am always learning and currently on a journey of self-discovery, much like wayfinding," she said.

Silet Open Up found the project personally meaningful, relating Moana's journey to their own life experiences. "I am proud to be part of this original soundtrack because Moana's journey feels very close to my life. As a musician, I also travel to promote my hometown through music and art to wider audiences. I was given the opportunity to bring the nuances of lyrics from Eastern Indonesia into this song, hoping it will make Moana's fighting spirit feel closer to Indonesian listeners," they explained.

The live-action Moana film will take audiences on a new adventure, starring newcomer Catherine Laga’aia as Moana. The story follows the young heroine as she answers the ocean's call. For the first time, Moana sails beyond the shores of Motunui Island with the legendary demigod Maui, portrayed by Dwayne Johnson, on a mission to restore balance to nature and bring new hope to her people. Allie Benedicto, Integrated Marketing Director for Emerging Southeast Asia at The Walt Disney Company, highlighted Moana's story of courage, self-discovery, and the call of the ocean.
