Macri Group brings a new Chinese compact-car brand to Argentina

A new Chinese electric-vehicle brand focused on tiny urban cars is preparing to enter Argentina. Sideco Americana, part of the Macri Group, announced that it will represent Linktour in the local market.

Linktour made its global debut in 2025 and has since begun expanding into several European countries. Its current range centers on the Alumi family, designed specifically for city driving. Sideco Americana said it will spend the coming months building the brand’s commercial structure in Argentina, but has not yet said which models it will offer, when sales will begin or how much they will cost.

The company belongs to Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, one of China’s largest industrial conglomerates, with businesses including aluminum and textiles. Linktour vehicles use a monocoque structure made largely from aluminum.

Unlike Chinese manufacturers that have entered Argentina with SUVs, sedans or pickups, Linktour is targeting a smaller form of urban mobility. Its current vehicles seat two people and measure about 2.68 meters long and 1.50 meters wide, making them smaller than conventional city cars.

European buyers can choose between two main versions. The Alumi L6e is a light electric quadricycle limited to 45 kilometers per hour, with a 7.2 kWh LFP battery and a declared range of up to 120 kilometers under the WMTC cycle. The Alumi Elite L7e uses a 12.96 kWh battery, reaches 90 kilometers per hour and claims up to 180 kilometers of range. Depending on the version, equipment includes a 10.25-inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus an app for checking the vehicle’s status, location and battery charge or activating some functions remotely. The declared trunk capacity is 320 liters.

In Italy, prices start at 9,450 euros for the Alumi L6e and reach 12,990 euros, while the Elite L7e ranges from 12,990 to 14,990 euros. Belgian prices begin at 10,490 euros for the Alumi and 14,990 euros for the Alumi Elite. Those figures cannot directly predict Argentine prices because of differences in taxes, logistics and homologation, but they indicate the buyers Linktour is targeting.
