Macri wants to be very rich again, says Carrió on Pro-LLA meeting

Elisa Carrió, a prominent figure in Argentina's Civic Coalition, has voiced skepticism about a recent meeting between the Pro party and La Libertad Avanza (LLA). The gathering, reportedly facilitated by presidential secretary Karina Milei and Pro leader Cristian Ritondo, aimed to bridge the gap between the two political forces for the 2027 elections, with a strategic focus on Buenos Aires province.

Carrió suggested that the meeting was not coincidental, pointing to "very powerful economic interests" at play. She specifically named businessman Nicolás Caputo as a "central actor in the political system" who also influenced the previous Juntos por el Cambio coalition. This, she implied, is why Pro leader Mauricio Macri is eager to engage with Milei's party.

Speaking to Radio Led, Carrió stated, "There are times when 'Nicky' manages Mauricio Macri himself. Mauricio Macri wants to be very rich again." Her comments highlight a perceived tension between political alliances and personal financial gain, framing the political maneuvering as driven by economic motives rather than ideological alignment.
