'Made a scapegoat': Vijeta Dahiya on being sacked as CJP spokesperson

Vijeta Dahiya, recently removed as spokesperson for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), asserts he was unfairly made a scapegoat amidst a controversy. The situation arose after a video, purportedly showing Dahiya at a fast-food restaurant during a CJP-organized Parliament march, went viral.

Social media users questioned his presence at the eatery while demonstrators allegedly faced police action. Dahiya recounted receiving a call from CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke as he was preparing to join the protest. He initially believed Dipke's call was to offer support and solidarity, but was instead informed of his dismissal.

"My heart broke" upon learning of his sacking, Dahiya stated in a video message. He highlighted his previous support for Dipke during past criticisms and expressed his commitment to the protest, having stayed at the site for two nights anticipating potential police crackdowns.

All of a sudden I saw Abhijeet is calling me, and at that time I was just getting ready to go to the protest site. So I thought that he too has called me assure that I need not worry, and to tell me ‘we are in this together’.

Dahiya also detailed experiencing heckling from individuals he described as "Manuwadis" while traveling to and from the protest site, and receiving concerned calls from friends and family. He felt his removal occurred precisely when he was actively countering "propaganda."
