Madina Police probe shooting incident involving Sarah Adwoa Safo at Kwabenya

The Madina Divisional Police Command is investigating a shooting incident that allegedly involved Sarah Adwoa Safo, the former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the residence of her late father in Kwabenya, within the Accra Region.

According to a preliminary police statement, Ms. Safo sustained a gunshot wound to her left ear. She subsequently reported the incident to the Kwabenya Police. During her report, she presented a vehicle, registration number GN 3482-24, which displayed visible bullet damage.

Ms. Safo has been issued a medical report form and is currently receiving treatment for her injuries. The vehicle involved has been impounded by the police for forensic examination. Authorities are actively conducting investigations to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the shooting and to identify all individuals potentially involved.
