Madonna visits Patmos, impressed by island's beauty and atmosphere

Pop icon Madonna recently concluded a three-day visit to the Greek island of Patmos, continuing her vacation in Greece after stops in Corfu and Meteora. Arriving discreetly by helicopter on Monday, August 17, the singer, dressed in white and wearing a hat, was accompanied by her entourage arriving in separate helicopters with numerous suitcases.

Nikos Antonopoulos, the deputy mayor for Tourism, Education, and Civil Protection, welcomed Madonna on behalf of the Mayor of Patmos, Nikitas Tsambalakis. The singer chose to stay in a luxury accommodation in Skala, Patmos. This marked her first visit to the island, and she was reportedly impressed by its natural beauty, religious atmosphere, and the hospitality of the residents.

On behalf of the Municipality of Patmos, Antonopoulos presented Madonna with a commemorative album featuring historical and photographic material of the island, along with calendars for 2027. When asked about her experience, Madonna reportedly stated that she was not just captivated but adored Patmos and pledged to return soon. During her stay, she also visited the Cave of the Apocalypse and the Holy Monastery, as confirmed by her agent.

Three helicopters departed from Athens to pick up Madonna and her party, leaving the Patmos Municipal helipad around 6:40 PM. The singer, clad in white attire, a dark blue hat, and sunglasses, appeared cheerful. She thanked the deputy mayor for the souvenirs, promising to display them prominently and share photos from her Patmos vacation in the coming days.
