Madrid's Jarama Circuit Secures Double-Header Formula E Races in 2027

The Circuito del Jarama in Madrid is set to solidify its place on the Formula E calendar with a groundbreaking double-header event scheduled for June 26-27, 2027. Following the success of its inaugural E-Prix this past season, the Spanish circuit will host the electric racing championship for a second consecutive year. This expanded presence culminates in two races, closing out the European leg of the 2026-2027 season. Unlike the single race held in March 2026, the 2027 event will take place in the summer, prompting considerations for schedule adjustments to mitigate potential high temperatures, possibly shifting races to the afternoon or evening. The Jarama circuit will also serve as the venue for official pre-season testing from November 16-20, where teams will debut the highly anticipated GEN4 car. This new generation of cars is expected to bring significant advancements to the sport.
