Maffeo joins Valencia: 'I come to contribute experience, camaraderie, and competitiveness'

Pablo Maffeo, the new right-back for Valencia CF, has arrived with the intention of bringing "experience, camaraderie, and competitiveness" to the Spanish club. The Argentine player joins on loan from Greek side Olympiacos, with an option for Valencia to purchase him permanently. Maffeo expressed his long-held desire to play for Valencia, citing positive accounts from former teammates.

I've wanted to come here for a long time. I've spoken with teammates over the years who have been here or left here and they told me what the club is like and I'm super happy and excited.

He spoke with coach Carlos Corberán, who conveyed his expectations for Maffeo's arrival. Maffeo described himself as a competitive fighter who gives his all on the field, believing this attitude will benefit Valencia. Off the pitch, he prefers a quieter life with his family and enjoys boxing and martial arts.
