Major General Vũ Văn Điền and Former Ho Chi Minh City Command Leaders Receive 35-Year Party Badges

The Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee presented 35-year Communist Party membership badges to four current and former leaders during National Day celebrations.

The recipients were Major General Vũ Văn Điền, commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; Major General Phan Văn Xựng, its former political commissar; Major General Phạm Văn Rậm, deputy commander; and Major General Trần Văn Trai, a former deputy commander.

The ceremony described the badges as recognition of the officials’ contributions to building and defending the country. It also framed the honor as a source of pride for the city’s armed forces.

Representing the recipients, Phan Văn Xựng said he would continue upholding the traditions of the Party, the military, Military Region 7 and the city’s Military Party Committee. He also pledged to keep studying and training, maintain his political character and revolutionary ethics, and serve as an example for younger generations.

Major General Nguyễn Thành Trung, permanent deputy secretary of the committee and political commissar of the city command, congratulated the recipients. He called on them to continue embodying the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” and to contribute their experience and judgment to strengthening the city’s military organization and armed forces.
