Major Powers Increasingly Turn to Lamichhane Rather Than PM Shah for Diplomacy

Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Nepal’s ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party, is increasingly emerging as the figure major powers turn to on diplomatic matters.

India, China and the United States are described as favoring Lamichhane as their point of contact. Their ambassadors have also begun engaging with Prime Minister Balendra Shah, who is a senior leader of the RSP.
