Makkah deputy emir reviews Umrah season, steps up Hajj 1448 preparations

Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region, chaired a crucial meeting to assess the ongoing Umrah season and bolster preparations for the Hajj 1448 pilgrimage. The session, held under the directives of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of the Makkah Region, underscored the commitment to ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims.

The Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee reviewed a comprehensive report detailing the progress of the Umrah season. This included an analysis of pilgrim arrival and departure figures, alongside an evaluation of services offered by various government agencies. Procedures at the Kingdom's entry and exit points were also scrutinized to identify areas for improvement.

Furthermore, the committee delved into the outcomes of several workshops conducted as part of the early planning for Hajj 1448. These workshops involved approximately 60 government and service entities tasked with pilgrim support. The discussions focused on leveraging achievements from previous seasons, refining operational plans, and strengthening coordination and integration among all participating agencies.

Key recommendations emerged from these workshops, aiming to clarify responsibilities, enhance overall readiness, and develop proactive mechanisms to address potential challenges. The ultimate goal is to ensure the highest level of preparedness and provide the best possible services to pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season. The committee also addressed other pertinent issues related to the Hajj preparations and issued necessary directives.
