Malaysia can lead regional waqf development: Minister

Malaysia is poised to become a regional leader in the development and management of waqf, according to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan. He emphasized that close collaboration between federal and state agencies, along with relevant institutions, is key to achieving this goal.

Dr. Zulkifli highlighted that Malaysia boasts various strategic institutions capable of strengthening the waqf ecosystem. Among these is the Department of Waqf, Zakat and Haji, which plays a crucial role in empowering the sector. The minister's remarks suggest a strong foundation and potential for growth in Malaysia's waqf initiatives.
