Malaysia Must Master AI, Not Fear Risks, Says Prime Minister Anwar

Malaysia must fully embrace and master artificial intelligence technology, rather than succumbing to fear of its potential risks, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He emphasized that the nation should not reject advancements in AI simply due to concerns about its downsides.

Anwar Ibrahim acknowledged that AI brings new challenges, including potential threats to national security. However, he asserted that these risks are not insurmountable and can be effectively managed and governed. The key, he stated, lies in controlling and administering the development of AI.
