Malaysia needs a dedicated online gambling law, says Sollehin

Malaysia’s government should consider creating a specific law for online gambling, or amend existing legislation to close gaps that hinder prosecutions, UMNO Youth information chief Mohammad Sollehin Mohamad Tajie said.

Sollehin said online gambling activities had become difficult to prove in court because technology had advanced and syndicates had changed their methods. He argued that existing legal provisions must be adjusted to match those changes.
