Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission says Johor RM1.6 million bribery arrest does not involve state executive councillors

Malaysia’s anti-graft agency says a detention linked to alleged bribery and abuse of power involving about RM1.6 million does not extend to any member of Johor’s state executive council.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the case also did not involve officials or agencies under the Johor state administration.

Instead, the detained individual is the chair of an action committee dealing with housing lots for the next generation.
