Malen Hat-Trick Fires Roma to Top of Serie A in 4-0 Rout of Fiorentina

Donyell Malen was the star of the show as AS Roma thrashed Fiorentina 4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, securing a commanding victory that propelled them to the top of the league standings. Fiorentina, in contrast, finds itself at the bottom of the table.

Roma asserted dominance from the outset. While early threats from Rodrigo Mora and Paulo Dybala were initially thwarted, the deadlock was broken in the 27th minute. Dybala skillfully penetrated the penalty area, laying off a pass to Malen, who expertly turned and fired the ball past Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea.

Malen's scoring spree continued in the second half. He doubled Roma's lead in the 52nd minute, cutting inside from the left flank after another assist from Dybala and beating De Gea from a tight angle. Just eight minutes later, Malen completed his hat-trick, converting a pass from the right side of the penalty area to put Roma 3-0 up.

Fiorentina attempted to respond, with Moise Kean testing Mile Svilar in the 71st minute, but the Roma goalkeeper made the save. The scoring was completed in the 86th minute when Niccolò Pisilli capitalized on a loose ball in front of the Fiorentina goal, tapping it in to seal the emphatic 4-0 victory.
