Mallorca Live Occident Festival Nears Sell-Out with International Headliners

The ninth edition of the Mallorca Live Occident festival is set to be its most international yet, with 95% of tickets already sold just over a week before its commencement. Headliners include prominent artists such as Aitana, David Guetta, The Prodigy, and Cypress Hill.

The festival, scheduled to take place in Calvià from June 12 to 14, anticipates an audience of approximately 70,000 attendees. Rafa Coto, a partner in the event and director of La Isla & Co, described these figures as "historic." This year marks a strategic shift, with the festival reducing its duration from three days to two, plus a closing party with David Guetta, while maintaining the same budget. This move is intended to enhance its international reach.

"The venue has a maximum capacity of 23,600 people per day, so if everything goes according to projections, we will be close to 70,000 attendees," Coto specified. The organization is optimistic about selling out completely before the festival begins.

International acts like The Prodigy, The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Wombats will perform alongside Spanish artists such as Viva Suecia and Aitana. French DJ David Guetta will close the festival on June 14 with a special concert for which all tickets have already been sold.

Coto attributes the festival's success in attracting major artists like Aitana and Guetta to his extensive experience in festival promotion and venue management. The international draw has increased, with over 15% of attendees expected to come from countries like Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. The festival will feature six renovated stages, expanded Premium and VIP areas, and aims to create over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs.
