Man, 51, dies by suicide in Turkey's Taşlıçay district

A tragic incident unfolded in the Yassıkaya village of Turkey's Taşlıçay district, where a 51-year-old man, Bahattin Taşdemir, took his own life. The discovery was made by his relatives who initiated a search after Taşdemir left his home to go to the district center and became unreachable.

His family found him hanging from a tree in the backyard of his residence. Emergency health services and gendarmerie teams were immediately alerted. Following preliminary examinations at the scene by the responding teams, the Taşlıçay Public Prosecutor's Office commenced an investigation into the death.

To ascertain the precise cause of death, Taşdemir's body was transported to the Ağrı Training and Research Hospital morgue for an autopsy. The autopsy results are expected to provide further clarity on the circumstances surrounding his passing.

Taşdemir, who was married and a father of four children, was reportedly well-regarded by his family and community. His death has cast a pall of grief over his loved ones. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
