Man accused of breaking into Nana's home claims he was injured by actress during struggle

A man accused of breaking into the home of K-pop star Nana, identified as Im Jin-ah, has claimed he was injured by the actress during the incident. The accused, facing charges of robbery and assault, presented a medical opinion letter stating he suffered a cut of over 5 centimeters when Nana subdued him.

This claim contrasts with the injuries reported by Nana and her mother, who submitted medical certificates indicating they sustained injuries requiring 33 and 31 days of treatment, respectively. Nana and her mother reportedly fought back and apprehended the intruder.

The accused admits to unlawful entry and attempted theft but denies the robbery charge, asserting he was "unilaterally beaten" by Nana. He also faces a counter-accusation of false accusation from Nana's side after his attempt to sue Nana for attempted murder and special injury was dismissed by police as self-defense.

Prosecutors have requested a 10-year prison sentence for the accused. The first-instance sentencing is scheduled for September 9.
