Man already in prison linked to 2025 homicide in Coyoacán

Isaí “N,” already incarcerated for other offenses, faces new charges for his alleged involvement in a homicide that occurred on February 16, 2025, in the Ajusco neighborhood of Coyoacán, Mexico City. The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) has secured his process vinculation for the crime.

According to the investigation, the victim was attacked by several individuals outside a convenience store. Prosecutors allege that Isaí “N” joined other subjects in beating the victim. Once the victim fell, Isaí “N” reportedly attacked him multiple times with a bladed weapon, causing fatal stab wounds to the chest. The suspect then allegedly fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Expert reports, analysis of surveillance footage, and a witness identification helped reconstruct the events and identify Isaí “N” as the primary suspect, leading a judge to issue an arrest warrant. Investigators also established that Isaí “N” is potentially a member of a criminal cell involved in drug dealing and linked to various violent incidents in the Ajusco area, where he is considered a significant generator of violence.

During a court hearing on July 28, a control judge ordered Isaí “N” to stand trial for qualified homicide. He was remanded in custody with preventive detention, and a three-month period was set for the complementary investigation. The suspect was already detained at the Reclusorio Preventivo Varonil Oriente, facing separate charges for offenses against public health and bribery.
