Man arrested after attempting to bypass security at Palace of Justice, shouting threats

A 50-year-old man is facing charges after a disruptive incident at the Palace of Justice in Zagreb, where he attempted to bypass security and verbally threatened judicial police officers. The man, identified as I.D., reportedly ignored commands to stop and proceeded to the first floor with a bag in hand.

Judicial police officers pursued and apprehended I.D., who then resisted, pushing one of the officers. The officers used force to subdue him, and police were called to the scene. He has been charged with coercion against a public official and subsequently placed in pre-trial detention by an investigating judge at the County Court in Zagreb.

During questioning, I.D. admitted to violating procedures, stating he was in a hurry to reach the court registry before it closed for the day. He claimed he gestured for the officers to follow him to the first floor and apologized for his actions, asserting it would not happen again. However, his defense did not prevent his detention.
