Man arrested after break-in at Kim Kardashian’s home

A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at Kim Kardashian's Hidden Hills residence on Sunday afternoon. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the gated community around 4 p.m. after receiving a report of a residential burglary.

The investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

Upon arrival, deputies apprehended a man identified as Trey Mendel. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and for taking a vehicle without the owner's consent. The suspect was booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody. The investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Reports indicate that the suspect allegedly took a car belonging to Kardashian's staff for a joyride before his arrest. Kardashian and her children are reportedly not currently residing in the home, as it is undergoing renovation. This incident at her Hidden Hills property comes almost ten years after she experienced a traumatic armed robbery in Paris.
