Man arrested after woman killed in west London stabbing

A 44-year-old man is in custody following a fatal stabbing in west London that left a 24-year-old woman dead and another man injured. Police were called to a property on Uxbridge Road in Hayes on Sunday morning after reports of the incident.

This is a shocking incident which has tragically resulted in one woman losing her life and another man in hospital with injuries. Our thoughts at this time are with both victims and their loved ones, who are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers discovered the woman inside the property with stab wounds. A man in his 20s was found outside with similar injuries; his condition is currently being monitored. The arrested suspect, matching the description of an individual seen nearby, was taken to hospital for injuries believed to have been sustained while falling from a window.

Our enquiries are in the early stages but we do not believe there to be any wider threat to the public.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo described the incident as "shocking" and extended condolences to the victims' loved ones. He stated that initial inquiries suggest no broader threat to the public, though police presence will increase in the area. Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to assist the ongoing investigation.
