Man Arrested at Jarinje Crossing on Document Forgery Suspicion; Ammunition Found at Home

Kosovska policija arrested a 41-year-old man, identified as I.S., at the Jarinje crossing on August 17, on suspicion of document forgery. The arrest was carried out by officers from the Directorate for Investigation of Organized and Serious Crime, as part of an investigation into a previously initiated case.

Following the arrest, authorities searched I.S.'s residence in Leposavić. According to a police statement, officers discovered and seized 45 rounds of ammunition of various calibers and several parts of a uniform. A mobile phone was also confiscated as material evidence in the document forgery case.

The Kosovar police statement did not specify the nature of the documents allegedly forged or the exact details regarding the uniform parts. I.S. was questioned in the presence of his lawyer, and a prosecutor ordered his police detention for up to 48 hours. Further actions in the case will be coordinated with judicial bodies.
