Man Arrested for Assaulting Woman and Police Officer in Peru

A man identified as Kevin Flores, 29, has been arrested in the Los Olivos district of Peru following accusations of assaulting a woman and her nephew. The incident escalated when Flores allegedly attacked a police officer during his transport to the station.

According to preliminary reports, Flores was allegedly intoxicated when he committed the violent acts. Video footage captured the man verbally abusing and chasing a woman and her nephew. The victims sought refuge in a nearby home, but Flores pursued them, reportedly assaulting the homeowner as he forced his way inside. Testimonies suggest he further assaulted the woman and the minor with a belt.

The commotion alerted neighbors, who intervened and forcibly removed Flores from the residence. However, his aggressive behavior continued. While in the police vehicle, Flores reportedly lashed out at a police officer, striking him and spitting in his face while using derogatory language.

Flores is currently detained at the district's criminal investigation department (Depincri). Authorities are investigating the incidents, and his legal responsibility for the assaults on the woman, her nephew, and the police officer will be determined.
