Man arrested in Alytus, Lithuania, with weapons found during search

Law enforcement in Alytus, Lithuania, apprehended a man on August 6 following a report that he was allegedly carrying a firearm. The incident occurred around 9:17 p.m. when police received the tip-off.

Officers from the Alytus County Police Department, with the support of the specialized 'Aro' unit, swiftly located and detained the individual. He has since been placed in a long-term detention facility. During a subsequent search of his property, authorities discovered and confiscated several weapons.

A criminal investigation has been initiated under Article 253 of the Lithuanian Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or explosive materials.
