Man Arrested in Cheonan for Allegedly Killing Air Conditioner Installer

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea, following a fatal altercation with an air conditioner installation technician. The suspect is accused of stabbing and killing the 60-year-old victim after a dispute erupted during the installation process.

The incident occurred on July 3 at a multi-family home in the Bongmyeong-dong neighborhood. According to police investigations, the argument began when the suspect complained about the mess the air conditioner installer was making inside the residence. As the victim attempted to leave the scene, the suspect allegedly attacked him in a fit of rage.

The victim was transported to a hospital following the assault but succumbed to his injuries the next day. Authorities have confirmed that the suspect also sustained minor injuries during the altercation and claimed the victim had struck him. A warrant for the suspect's arrest was issued by the Daejeon District Court in Cheonan due to fears of flight, and he is currently being investigated for the detailed circumstances of the crime.
