Man Arrested in Skopje for Driving Drunk with 2.13 Permille, No License

North Macedonian police have arrested a 41-year-old man in Skopje for driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid license. The arrest occurred early Tuesday morning when officers from the Mobile Unit for Traffic Safety stopped the individual on a local road between Ilinden and Marino, in the eastern part of the Skopje valley.

During the traffic stop, it was determined that the man, identified by the initials D.V., was operating a passenger vehicle with Skopje license plates while intoxicated. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of 2.13 permille, a level significantly above the legal limit. Furthermore, he was found to be driving without possessing a driver's license.

The Skopje prosecutor's office has been informed of the incident. The vehicle driven by D.V. has been impounded. Authorities stated that a formal report will be filed against the 41-year-old resident of Skopje once the case is fully documented and processed.
