Man Arrested in Zulia for Allegedly Beating Mother Unconscious

Authorities in Zulia, Venezuela, have arrested a 20-year-old man accused of brutally assaulting his mother and younger sister. The incident occurred in Machiques de Perijá, where the suspect, identified as Yeinner Montiel González, allegedly attacked the women within their home. The arrest was made by the Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariana del Estado Zulia (Cpbez) following a report of the domestic violence. The mother, who sustained injuries leading to unconsciousness, filed a formal complaint against her son. She stated that Montiel González entered the residence intoxicated before initiating the violent assault, which included blows and kicks. Her 17-year-old sister was also attacked. Based on the mother's testimony, law enforcement quickly implemented protocols for apprehension and protection. The suspect was taken into custody for crimes related to domestic and gender-based violence. Both victims were transported to the Hospital Rural II Nuestra Señora del Carmen for medical evaluation of their injuries. Montiel González is currently detained at the Policial Coordination Center No. 20, with his case forwarded to the 20th Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry.
