Man Arrested Over Shooting Incident in Co Galway

Authorities have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, in the early hours of bank holiday Monday. The incident took place around 3:15 am in the Dunlo area.

Following the shooting, another man, also in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital Galway where he was treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The arrested individual is currently being detained at a garda station in the northwest region.

Gardaí are actively seeking information from the public to aid their investigation. They are particularly interested in anyone who was in the Cúlán Eiscir Riada area between 2:30 am and 4:00 am and may possess relevant camera footage, including dash-cam recordings.
