Man Caught Carrying Axe Concealed Internally

Reykjavík police apprehended a man in the central part of the city after he was found to be carrying an axe concealed internally. The incident led to the man being charged with weapons possession.

According to the police log, officers stopped the individual in District 105. During the interaction, the man dropped the axe he had hidden on his person.

The report also noted other police activities throughout the day. These included stopping a driver in District 220 on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics. A subsequent check revealed the driver's license had been suspended.

Additionally, two traffic accidents were reported: one in District 109 where a car struck an electric scooter rider, and another in District 112 involving a collision with a cyclist. The condition of those involved in these accidents was unknown at the time of reporting. Police also addressed shoplifting incidents in three different districts.
