Man faces charges for allegedly killing parents in Monterrey

Jesuscristo Manuel “N”, a 21-year-old man, will face trial for the murder of his parents. The killings occurred on August 23 in a home in the Ferrocarrilera neighborhood of Monterrey, Nuevo León.

The Nuevo León Attorney General's Office announced that the judge overseeing the case has ordered pre-trial detention for the accused. He will be held in a state detention center, with a three-month period allocated for the completion of the supplementary investigation.

The young man faces multiple charges. These include femicide for the death of his 58-year-old mother, qualified homicide for his 60-year-old father's death, vehicle theft with violence, assault, and threats. The prosecution presented evidence suggesting the accused shot his mother and then his father.

During the assault, a relative reportedly attempted to disarm the suspect and was injured. Another individual present in the home was allegedly threatened by the accused. Following the attack, Jesucristo Manuel “N” is suspected of stealing a vehicle from the residence and fleeing the scene, leading to the additional charge of vehicle theft with violence.

Detectives from the State Investigation Agency arrested the suspect on August 26 in Monterrey. He was located in a public area in the Nueva Morelos neighborhood. During his arraignment, the public prosecutor presented evidence to support the accused's alleged involvement in all five crimes.
