Man Faces Trial for Killing Dog, Injuring Two Others in Sinaloa

A judge has ordered Leonel Paul "N" to stand trial for the alleged killing of a dog named Max and injuring two others in the community of Poblado Cinco, Ahome, Sinaloa. The judge also imposed pre-trial detention on the suspect, granting a two-month period to close the complementary investigation.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred on July 23. The accused is said to have attacked the animals because they entered his home, causing a mess. The dog's owner, Rodrigo Castro, filed a formal complaint and identified Paul "N," a neighbor, as the perpetrator.

Initially, the suspect reportedly justified his actions on social media before retracting his statement. Municipal police in Ahome responded to reports of gunshots against several injured dogs in the community. Upon arrival, they confirmed one dog had died from an abdominal injury. The suspect allegedly stated he was tired of the animals entering his home, stealing food, and causing disorder.
