Man Fatally Stabbed in Córdoba While Reclaiming Stolen Bicycle

A violent crime has shaken Córdoba, Argentina, where a 30-year-old man, Lucas Tissera, was fatally stabbed on August 5th. Tissera had gone to reclaim a bicycle that had been stolen, reportedly belonging to one of his nieces, which he intended to repair.

During his attempt to retrieve the bicycle, Tissera encountered a man, described as wearing an orange shirt, who allegedly confronted him with a bladed weapon. Video footage that has since emerged captures a portion of the altercation, showing Tissera attempting to defend himself against the aggressor's attacks, including a direct stab wound.

Initially, the investigation treated the death as occurring during a general fight. However, Tissera's family is now advocating for a change in the legal classification of the case, arguing it was a murder committed during the act of robbery. The family hopes this reclassification will lead to a more severe penalty for the perpetrator.

Authorities have arrested one man in connection with the incident. The suspect was reportedly found with a cut wound on his neck. The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the District 2 Court Prosecutor's Office, led by Lourdes Quagliatti.
