Man finds drone on Turkish beach for second time

Ali Çabuk, a 63-year-old resident of Sakarya, Turkey, has found an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) washed ashore for the second time in the Karasu district. The unusual repeat occurrence has drawn attention, particularly given Çabuk's previous encounter with a similar drone.

Weeks prior, Çabuk discovered a 15-20 kilogram UAV on the Camitepe Mahallesi beach. He photographed the device and used an artificial intelligence application on his phone to scan it, receiving a response that indicated no explosives were present. Following this, Çabuk transported the drone to his home near the gendarmerie station. Upon inspection, the gendarmerie confirmed the absence of explosives, and Çabuk assisted in transporting the drone to the station as it did not fit in the official vehicle.

In the recent incident, Çabuk was exploring the coastline with his cousin when they encountered another UAV washed ashore in a similar area. This time, Çabuk refrained from touching the drone and immediately contacted the authorities. Security forces arrived and removed the UAV from the scene after an inspection.

Çabuk recounted the events humorously, recalling a joke he made to his cousin before setting out: "Come, let's find you a drone." He noted that his jest quickly turned into reality. He mentioned that he often searches for driftwood along the coast but decided not to touch this second drone, instead opting to report it to the teams.
