Man Injured in Athens; Suspect Flees, Causes Hit-and-Run Accident

A violent incident unfolded in Athens' Kolonos district when a 59-year-old Albanian man allegedly attacked another man with a razor blade. The altercation reportedly began during a heated argument inside a bakery.

The victim, who sustained minor injuries, left the scene before police arrived, allowing the suspect to escape. Shortly after, the alleged assailant got into his car and struck a 26-year-old motorcyclist at the intersection of Vosporou and Agias Sofia streets, causing minor injuries to the rider.

The suspect then fled the scene of the traffic accident. Greek police launched a search and located the 59-year-old, who was arrested without further resistance. Police found a box cutter in his possession, which was confiscated. He now faces charges including causing bodily harm, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, and leaving the scene of a traffic accident.
