Man Linked to Home Robbery Attempt in Mexico City Faces Trial

Authorities in Mexico City have linked Omar "N" to an attempted aggravated robbery in the Miguel Hidalgo borough. The incident occurred on July 12 when the victim returned to their home and discovered the access door had been forced. Upon entering, the victim encountered three individuals inside the residence, who fled when discovered.

Two of the suspects escaped in a waiting vehicle, while Omar "N" allegedly fled on foot. Investigators identified the suspect through analysis of private security camera footage and information gathered by the Investigative Police. The victim later identified Omar "N" during a ministerial proceeding.

Further investigations revealed that Omar "N" has a criminal record, including previous arrests for drug-related offenses. He is also under investigation for at least three other home invasions. Authorities suspect he is connected to a criminal organization operating in the Miguel Hidalgo and Azcapotzalco boroughs.

The arrest warrant for Omar "N" was executed on July 26, following a hearing for a separate drug offense case. On July 27, a judge ordered him to stand trial for the robbery attempt, imposed pre-trial detention, and set a one-month period for the complementary investigation.
