Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Home Invasion, Threatening K-pop Star Nana's Mother

A man who broke into the home of K-pop star Nana and threatened her mother has been sentenced to seven years in prison. The ruling came from the Uijeongbu District Court's Namyangju Branch on June 9, which handed down the sentence for charges including robbery and injury.

The intrusion took place around 6 a.m. on November 15, 2025, at Nana's residence in Guri, Gyeonggi Province. The defendant, identified as being in his 30s, scaled a ladder to gain access to the house. Once inside, he brandished a knife and demanded money from Nana's mother.

Nana, a member of the girl group After School and a recognized actress, reportedly heard her mother's cries and intervened. She and her mother managed to subdue the intruder. During the struggle, Nana's mother sustained injuries, and the defendant suffered a laceration to his neck from the knife he was carrying.

Following the incident, police investigated Nana for potential self-defense actions but ultimately decided not to press charges, concluding that her actions were justified. The defendant, however, had reportedly filed a complaint against Nana, accusing her of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
