Man sought for woman's murder in Uruguay arrested

Authorities in Uruguay's Durazno department have apprehended a 41-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing his 42-year-old partner. The arrest occurred Saturday afternoon in a rural area, approximately six kilometers from the crime scene, according to the Interior Ministry.

The victim sustained a fatal stab wound in her home, with the attack occurring in the presence of children she was caring for. Police reported that the weapon was found at the scene, but the assailant had already fled.
