Man Stabbed Inside Lagunilla Metro; Critically Injured and Hospitalized

A violent incident occurred in Mexico City's Metro system when a 25-year-old man was stabbed near the Lagunilla station. The assault took place in the Centro neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc mayoralty.

According to the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), auxiliary police officers assigned to the Metro responded to the aggression. They provided initial first aid at the station before requesting emergency medical services. Personnel from the Cuauhtémoc mayoralty's Civil Protection unit also attended the scene.

The victim reported being attacked by several individuals. During medical evaluation, he was found to have a penetrating chest wound and was experiencing difficulty breathing. Paramedics stabilized him before transporting him to a hospital, where he was admitted to the trauma unit for specialized care.

Medical teams from the Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (ERUM) assisted in the transfer. Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the assault and identify those responsible. The Cuauhtémoc mayoralty stated it is coordinating with security and health institutions to address such emergencies and protect the public.
