A man with a history of over 30 legal punishments spanning four decades has been sentenced to eight months in prison. The 60-year-old was convicted of assaulting other customers at a bar and then resorting to violence against the police officers who arrived to handle the situation.

The incident occurred on November 20, 2024, at a bar in Seoul's Nowon District. The man, identified as A, reportedly began the altercation by grabbing and pushing individuals from another table, citing their disruptive behavior. When police were called, A allegedly resisted arrest, pulling at an officer's gun holster and grabbing their wrists while verbally abusing them.

During his trial, A argued that his actions were in self-defense, claiming he was attacked first by the other patrons. A witness, the bar owner, testified in court, supporting A's claim that he was assaulted. However, the court ultimately rejected the self-defense argument and found him guilty of assault and obstruction of justice.
