Man with nerve condition flees as storm rips roof off home

A man suffering from a nerve condition faced a terrifying ordeal when a storm tore the zinc roof off his house, forcing him to flee for safety.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in Kampung Kok Serai, Pengkalan Kubor. Nazri Derahman, 62, was resting in his kitchen when the strong winds struck, ripping the roof off his home. He quickly moved to the living room to shelter with his three children.

His wife, Siti Norfadhilah Che Hashim, 41, expressed relief that her husband, who has a nerve condition, managed to escape unharmed, as did their children. "I am grateful that my husband, who has a nerve condition, managed to save himself and our family did not suffer any injuries," she said.

The storm also affected two neighboring houses, bringing the total number of damaged homes to three. Fortunately, no trees fell and caused further damage to the houses.

The family is now dealing with the aftermath of the storm, which caused significant damage to their home.
