Manba’ul Hikam Islamic boarding school denies alleged MBG poisoning came from its own kitchen

Manba’ul Hikam Islamic boarding school in Sidoarjo has denied claims that an alleged poisoning of students after they consumed the Free Nutritious Meals program came from the school’s own kitchen.

Ahmad Zainal, a school official, said all male and female students who had received medical treatment for suspected health problems were being handled properly. Most had returned to the boarding school in healthy and stable condition, while several remained under observation.

Zainal also rejected reports that anyone had died in the incident. The school’s statement addressed both the reported student illnesses and claims about the alleged source of the food.
