Manchester City continues summer spending with €40 million deal for Brazilian prospect

Manchester City has added another young prospect to an active summer transfer campaign, signing 22-year-old Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras.

Elias agreed to a five-year contract. English media put the fee at about 40 million euros. He has made 96 appearances for Palmeiras’ first team, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists.

Allan is a truly exciting player and we believe he will strongly strengthen the team.

The player made his senior debut in January 2025. He usually operates on the right wing, although he can also play in midfield or as a second striker.

This is an unreal moment for me. Manchester City has won numerous trophies over the last 15 years and is one of the most desirable clubs for players.

City sporting director Hugo Viana called Elias “a truly exciting player” and said the club believed he would significantly strengthen the squad. Elias described the move as an unreal moment and said joining a club with many trophies was one of the proudest moments of his life.

He also paid tribute to his former club, saying he would always love Palmeiras but had not found the decision to move to Manchester difficult. Elias is City’s sixth signing of the summer, following Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles.
