Manchester City crushes Crystal Palace 4-1, Gvardiol assists

Manchester City continued their strong start to the Premier League season with a convincing 4-1 away win against Crystal Palace. The victory, achieved in the second round of the English football championship, keeps City at the top of the league table with a perfect six points.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Cherki extended the lead in the 54th minute, putting Manchester City firmly in control. Crystal Palace managed to pull a goal back in the 56th minute when a free-kick from Pino struck the crossbar and deflected into the back of Donnarumma, resulting in an own goal.

However, Manchester City quickly reasserted their dominance. Cherki scored his second goal of the match in the 59th minute, with a crucial assist from Croatian international Joško Gvardiol. Gvardiol's pass found Cherki, whose shot from over 20 yards deflected off a Palace player and found the net. Haaland sealed the comprehensive victory by scoring his second goal in the 84th minute.

Gvardiol, who played a key role in the match, was substituted in the 75th minute for his national teammate Mateo Kovačić. The win leaves Crystal Palace with no points after the opening two matches of the season.
