Mango Jump to Headline 2026 Taoyuan Music Festival, Tease 'Earth-Shattering' Performance

The highly anticipated '2026 Taoyuan Pearl Coast International Music Festival' is set to electrify the shores of Taoyuan's Zhutang Fishing Port on August 1 and 2. Among the star performers is the immensely popular band Mango Jump, who expressed their thrill at being invited to play.

Lead vocalist Guo Zuo-zhi, who is very familiar with Taoyuan from his university days, shared a personal recommendation for a local favorite: "It's right next to Ming Chuan University, and after playing ball, I'd always go eat braised chicken rice with everyone. It's delicious."

However, Guo's culinary recommendations were met with playful teasing from his bandmates. Cai You-lun jokingly accused Guo of sometimes eating alone, recalling instances of him secretly going for yakiniku. Huang Sheng-zhi joined the protest, adding, "He always goes to eat by himself, this really happened!" Guo quickly defended himself, promising a "very Special program" for their performance, assuring fans that their shows are always unique and that this performance would be "earth-shattering and soul-stirring."

The festival isn't just about the main stage; the plaza in front of the Zhutang Direct Sales Center will simultaneously host the finals for the '2026 Iron Rose Hot Sound Award,' recognizing emerging musical talent. Mango Jump, having previously performed at this competition, praised Taoyuan's growing cultural scene. They also expressed a desire to hold a concert in Taoyuan in the future, perhaps at larger venues like the Taoyuan Baseball Stadium or Sunshine Theater, once their popularity grows further.

For those unable to attend in person, the festival will be broadcast live on CTiTV's YouTube channel starting at 5 p.m. on August 1.
