Mansour visits Zayed Herbal Centre, reviews future plans

His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, recently toured the Zayed Herbal Centre. The visit focused on reviewing the center's ongoing research programs and strategic initiatives.

The center's work centers on documenting, studying, and developing Emirati herbal and traditional medicine. Sheikh Mansour was briefed on the center's mission to create a national reference for this field. This involves conducting scientific studies, preserving traditional therapeutic knowledge, researching indigenous medicinal plants, and developing evidence-based natural products that align with international standards.

During his tour, His Highness explored the center's specialized laboratories, research facilities, and its knowledge management system. He also viewed the herbarium and the mechanisms in place for preserving local medicinal herbs and plants. The briefing included an overview of the scientific encyclopedia of UAE plants, highlighting the depth of research and documentation efforts underway.
