Mantas Stonkus Announces a First: He Will Hand His Phone to the Audience

Lithuanian comedian Mantas Stonkus plans to give his phone and password to the audience during a May 8 show at Kaunas’ Žalgiris Arena, an experiment designed to expose his digital life onstage.

The event, titled “GPT,” will coincide with Stonkus’ 40th birthday. It will draw on four decades of people, relationships, work, mistakes, successes, failures and absurd stories, combining stand-up comedy with theater, film, music, technology and artificial intelligence.

Messages, missed calls, emails, photos, searches and private notes will become potential material for the performance. The show will also include conversations with AI, which Stonkus presents as another place where people reveal fears, seek advice and ask questions they might hesitate to ask even Google.

A specially created AI model trained around Stonkus will appear onstage as a digital version of the comedian. It is designed to know his stories, thinking, humor and life experience. The resulting experiment asks which Mantas knows Mantas better, the performer himself or his digital copy.

Organizers say the arena show will not simply transfer a stand-up routine to a larger venue. Screens, cameras and AI will function as active parts of the evening, capable of supplementing Stonkus, challenging him or revealing something he does not know about himself. Tickets go on sale through Bilietai.lt on September 3, while Live Nation Lietuva club members can buy them from September 2.
