Director Manuela Martelli's film 'El Deshielo' has unveiled its first trailer and confirmed its upcoming release in Chilean cinemas on September 3. The film has already garnered praise from audiences and critics during its participation in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival.

'El Deshielo' tells the story of Inés, a 10-year-old girl vacationing at her grandparents' hotel in the high mountains. Her summer takes a mysterious turn when she befriends a teenage girl who subsequently disappears without a trace.

Set in Chile during the early 1990s, the film weaves a suspenseful narrative that combines elements of mystery and drama. Beyond its plot, the movie offers a critical perspective on a nation grappling with its past and striving to move forward from the dictatorship era.
