Tinelli, who previously served as a director for San Lorenzo, voiced his displeasure with the team's home loss and specifically targeted Caicedo's "Topo Gigio" celebration as an excessive provocation.

Speaking on the YouTube podcast 'Paren La Mano' on Wednesday, August 12, Tinelli expressed his deep dissatisfaction with San Lorenzo's defeat. He focused his criticism on the Ecuadorian forward, who scored the goals that secured Huracán's victory. Tinelli questioned the validity of the first goal, suggesting a foul was missed by the referees, and described Caicedo's subsequent celebration in front of the home crowd as highly offensive.

Tinelli asserted that Caicedo deserved a direct red card for his celebration. He differentiated Caicedo's actions from a similar celebration by Leandro Paredes, arguing that the proximity of the stands to the pitch in San Lorenzo's stadium made Caicedo's gesture more provocative. Tinelli also criticized Huracán's social media team for amplifying the celebration and stated he did not believe Caicedo's subsequent apologies to San Lorenzo players and fans, citing chants made moments earlier.
